About the Opportunity

Step into a high-impact leadership role focused on establishing and growing a strong Urban Design presence within Arcadia’s Brisbane Studio, where you will champion our design philosophy with strategic vision and commercial acumen while positioning the studio as a recognised authority in shaping Brisbane’s urban future. In this role, you will drive business growth, cultivate high-value partnerships, and lead complex, large-scale projects across landmark precincts, transport corridors, and Olympic-related developments, all within a collaborative, design-led culture.

  • Identify and secure new opportunities, lead major bids, and manage commercial strategies to ensure sustainable profitability.

  • Act as a primary contact for high-value clients and lead complex engagement with government agencies and developers.

  • Advocate for best-practice outcomes as a thought leader at industry forums, panels, and conferences.

  • Oversee all project phases to maintain quality, innovation, and clarity of design intent from start to finish.

  • Support senior leadership in business planning, market positioning, and developing internal initiatives to improve efficiency.

The expertise you’ll bring

  • Over 10 years of experience in Urban Design, with a proven track record of leading high-profile, complex projects.

  • Demonstrated success in business development, fee proposal strategy, and managing project financials.

  • Exceptional design leadership and proficiency in tools such as Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, and the Adobe Suite.

  • Outstanding presentation skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at executive and government levels.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Urban Design, Architecture, or Landscape Architecture; postgraduate qualifications are highly regarded.

  • Deep knowledge of built form, urban design processes, planning frameworks, and regulatory environments.
